The main purposes of Ilyas Afandiyev Literary Charity Foundation “Tomodachy”
Japanese Cultural centre is to familiarize Japan, its culture, art, public
figures, men of art, and scientists, in Azerbaijan,
and to deliver the information about Azerbaijan culture, art and history exactly
to the Japanese. On April 7th, 2007 Ilyas Afandiyev Literary Charity Foundation
“TOMODACHI” Japanese Cultural Centre organized literary soiree in Modern Art Centre
dedicated to the great personality, world-famous Japan producer and script writer
Akira Kurosava. Distinguished craftsmen, public figures, scientists and
cultural workers, and foreigners stated that they will do everything in their.
After greeting the guests the director of the centre Abulfaz Babazadeh who
opened the activity gave detailed information about Akira Kurosava. He stated
hat the activities of Akira Kurosava was known to Azerbaijani, many of his films
has being watched since the Soviet period and are still retained in their memory.
In his speech he emphasized the titles of the films such as “Sugata Sanshiro” meaning “Epoch on Judo” (1943), “Ichiban Utskushiku” meaning “The most beautiful humans” (1944), “Yoidore Tenshi” meaning “Drunk angel” (1948), “Tiger track followers” (1945), “regret for my future” (1946), “Outcast dog” (1949), “Live” (1952), “Seven Samurai” (1954), “Alive’s letters” (1955), “Cruel sleep easily” (1960), “Red beard” (1964), “Dodeskaden” meaning “Under the tram wheels” (1970) and talked about their gifts to the World Cinema. Later he people’s artist Hamida Omarova addressed to the meeting on the delicacy and originality of his works. The activity held with the participation of Azerbaijan scientists, cultural and art workers was closed with the demonstration of the film “RASHAMON”.
